#FashionNews: VOGUE PARIS MAKES HISTORY WITH FIRST TRANSGENDER COVER MODEL || Valentina Sampaio, a transgender Brazilian model, is the first to appear on the cover of French Vogue, on the magazine’s March issue. The French Vogue follows the lead of Elle Brazil, which had Valentina on the cover last October, and Elle UK, with trans model Hari Nef.
This is a huge step to recognize the beauty and empowerment of the trans community, spreading acceptance and love for all fellow human beings.

Vogue Paris Editor-in-Chief Emmanuelle Alt shares her thoughts:
“In a post-gendered world which more and more designers are highlighting on their runways, Trans people, the ultimate symbols of a rejection of conformity, are icons that Vogue supports and chooses to celebrate.”
In a world changing in so many ways, to have “The Fashion Bible” announce this collaboration, is a step forward to real equality. We are not there yet, but this is a step in the right direction.
Valentina is a force to be reckoned with and at ISM, we are so proud and happy for the model.
May there be many more covers, articles, debates, to elevate the spirit of unity and compassion.
